Requirements
To be admitted in regular status, you must have a degree in Geology or a related field from an accredited university. If you have not completed certain undergraduate Geology courses before entering the graduate program, you may be required to complete some courses as determined by the Geology Graduate Committee.
The UL Lafayette Graduate School website lists the full admissions requirements by the University. The following requirements by the School of Geosciences supersede or add to those of UL Lafayette:
- GRE is not required to be admitted to the MSc Geology
- A 'Statement of purpose' is required in the application material
- A 'Resume' is required in the application material
Before entering the program, you should have knowledge of other related science and mathematics courses; the specific courses needed to satisfy this requirement will be determined by the Geology Graduate Committee when you're accepted into the program.
